Sunday 3rd December – Christmas Walk – Foxhouse to Hathersage
The annual Christmas walk from Foxhouse to Hathersage marked the end of another successful year for the Weekend Wanderers. A fine, bright morning provided perfect weather to enjoy spectacular views across the Hope valley on a shorter than usual walk, led by a David T.
The Little John Hotel in Hathersage again hosted a tasty Christmas carvery, which was followed by the presentation of a gift voucher to thank our club organiser Jean T, for all her hard work during the year. Jean also thanked walk leaders for a programme of varied walks over the last 12 months and also presented a gift to one club member for 100% attendance. The club raffle concluded a wonderful Christmas celebration and end of another great year’s walking. Merry Christmas everyone!
